I could go on forever really. There’s so much that I can talk about, like the beautiful God’s Money cover art as memorial or the fact that “House Jam” is the group’s most realized and best song (almost like a pre-cursor to “Stillness is the Move” by Dirty Projectors in its strange recreation of traditional r&b and pop aesthetics), but I will save that for another time.
In this remix, Gang Gang Dance strip the group’s signature distortion and fuzz, replacing it with a dance break after the last half of the song. I enjoy this remix more than the original, without a doubt (of course, I might be biased). Also, it’s long, but worth it. The song moves all over the place and it certainly matters to continue till the build-up.
