“SWINDLE is the definitive pop culture and lifestyle publication. We put out a timeless product in both soft cover and hard cover versions—the book is a beautifully designed coffee table piece that will stay relevant in years to come. More than just reporting on culture, SWINDLE influences it. We believe in the humanization and personalization of design, and present all our stories—luscious fashion spreads, artist profiles or social & political issues around the globe—with a cutting-edge aesthetic. SWINDLE was founded in 2004 by Shepard Fairey and Roger Gastman, who bring to the magazine their combined experiences as leaders in the fields of art, design, publishing and marketing.”-swindlemagazine.com

beautiful decay. → beautifuldecay.com

“Beautiful/Decay was founded on the theory that “if you can’t find it, make it.” The magazine’s format is revolutionary in that it documents the convergence of fine art, graffiti, design, fashion, music, and other contemporary forms of art. The magazine prides itself in exposing its diverse readership to media, ideas, and creative expressions that are not juxtaposed in any other independent publication.”-beautifuldecay.com

graffiti archaeology. → otherthings.com

Graffiti Archaeology is a project devoted to the study of graffiti-covered walls as they change over time. The core of the project is a timelapse collage, made of photos of graffiti taken at the same location by many different photographers over a span of several years. The photos were taken in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and other cities, over a timespan from the late 1990’s to the present.

“Bravo’s highly-anticipated fifth season of the three-time Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning creative competition reality series Project Runway returns Wednesday, July 16 in a new time slot — 9/8c. Returning to the runway, host and supermodel Heidi Klum heads a panel of industry luminaries, including judges, top women’s and menswear designer Michael Kors, and fashion expert Nina Garcia, as they decide who is “in” and who is “out.” Tim Gunn, Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne, Inc., will once again act as a mentor to the designers as they take on weekly fashion challenges. The 16 Project Runway contestants will be whittled down week-by-week to the finalists who will show their own line in front of an audience of fashion industry movers and shakers at New York Fashion Week.”-bravo.com

harold and maude.

“Harold and Maude is a cult classic movie directed by Hal Ashby in 1971. The film, featuring slapstick, dark humor, and existentialist drama, revolves around the exploits of a morbid young man — Harold — who drifts away from the life that his detached mother prescribes him as he develops a relationship with septuagenarian Maude. The film is number 45 on the American Film Institute’s list of 100 Funniest Movies of all time,[1] and number 42 on Bravo’s 100 Funniest Movies. In 1997, it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress[2] as being deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.”-wikipedia
